- Liberally use your grenades, bullets, and gadgets. You have unlimited ammo as support, throw as much as you can at the enemy.
- Don't just drop ammo, shove ammo down your teammates throats. Run up to groups of friendly and drop ammo on them. If no teammates are nearby, drop ammo in doorways and well trafficked areas.
- Use claymores in doorways, the tops of ladders, and stairwells. You can disguise your own claymores with your ammo packs if you want. Use claymores to cover your own rear. Don't bother with claymores in large open maps.
- When you use mortars, fire two shots, then move. No more. Relocate to a position a few feet away and fire two more, move again. This should always give you the drop on counter mortar enemies. Don't bother with mortars on open maps either.
- It takes 3 C4 to destroy a full health tank. Odds are, the tank won't be full health so a lot of the time you can get away with only two. If you screw up and don't take it down, someone will jump out to repair, just murder him. Check the area for ground troops then wait until a tank is distracted and otherwise engaged before planting. C4 should be your go to gadget.
- Use C4 to breach and make paths for yourself. Use it to enter buildings, punch through walls blocking control points, and blow up anything in your way. Not all good C4 use has to result in an immediate kill. C4 will allow you to approach from almost every direction if your clever enough.
- It's your job to be in the thick of it applying forward momentum and pressuring the other team. You should be on the front lines to be useful.
- Cover and suppression fire is a key function for support. Recognize when it's your roll to lay down rounds to distract enemy troops while others flank. What you lack in accuracy you can make up in volume. Realize however that you can only do this for a little bit before someone will take you down. 5-10 seconds top, then drop to the ground behind cover.
- Support is the most versatile class in game. You are outfitted to take down both infantry and tanks but only if you're on foot. Stay out of vehicles unless you need a ride somewhere.
- You're a close to medium range fighter, don't even bother shooting at stuff far away. Your weapon is big, loud, scary, and deadly at the right range but inaccurate, obvious, and dumb far away.

Seems like a lot of my BF3 posts have been a little negative but I do assure you when I managed to get on a server and play with friends I have an absolute blast. However to get to those moments I have to whether a storm of non-descript error messages and insanity that is definitely not limited to me. Battlelog as a whole is pretty neat, as Penny Arcade put it a "Facebook for murderers". Requiring it as a needed component of gameplay is aggravating. Least it's not Origin I suppose.

For those of you that play games with me know I went out of my way to pre-purchase Battlefield 3 a full month ahead of its release date. I was that confident that the game would be above and beyond and while I'm in game it has yet to disappoint. The sound, the graphics, the everything in this game is just mindblowing and fun. Pre-purchasing a game is a colossal rarity for me, even simply purchasing a game instead of pirating a game is a heavy vote of confidence from me or any technically savvy gamer for that matter. I want to see DICE succeed and continue to create Battlefield games so I eagerly ponied up the cash for their newest game.
