I'm not sure if advertising is allowed, if not - please forgive me and remove this topic.
I've been busy for the past 6 months learning how to properly code (efficiency, bug testing and using advanced methods to achieve the function that I want executed), creating advanced system like personalized reading and writing systems using buffers and cache meant I had to make my own SA-MP plugins which turned out pretty well and that let me to see even more into the potential that SA-MP has got, it has some of the most powerful tools but they must be used correctly and accurately to accomplish a user friendly and well profound script.
Now, I'm back again to propose to everyone a modern and advanced roleplay script that will ensure every player environment is met and every player has the right tools in their sand box to have some good ol' fun.
The server isn't heavy roleplay nor is it light roleplay, the server uses a system called 'FFS' which uses accurate predictions to assume what you want to do and sends out a little "/me" message to those nearby automatically making it easier for the player to have fun (And it uses advanced techniques to realize if it is spamming your screen to prevent it from spamming your screen) and if your style of roleplay is hardcore then you can still make great use with the "/me" & "/do" commands.
The script also uses the FFS to calculate who is a friend and who is a foe, if you're near a foe and commit a murder then that murder gets reported to police officers. And if you do it near a friend then it will not report to the police.
The script is being coded from scratch by myself and we have an amazing community that is very close and friendly.
Please visit, www.thegtahood.com for more information. We're also looking for beta testers, admins and coders.
Here are some ingame photos to show whats to come.

Meh, my thoughts on SAMP are summed up pretty nicely here: Click me I'm a link.
Glad to see someone's incorporating UI's more effectively with those screen shots, that was always a shortcoming of most servers, including my own. Honestly though, server after server after server has cropped up after CCNGTA...
These servers are a breed of work and commitment most owners aren't ready for and its not just about coding or even staffing, you're actually going to have to shuffle your life around and whether the slings and arrows of all the people you thought were your friends.

CCNGTA did set a mark but it wasn't a mark in administration or the script but it set a standard for communities, the community here was amazing and other people don't see that communities make up servers and without them, you've pretty much have failed.
Every community needs commitment but it doesn't exactly lead to shuffling your life around, I still do everything I always did before running a community, it's just now I'm more organised which allows me to use my time wisely instead of jerking off.

Running a game server requires a significant time investment. I don’t know your life situation right now, I don’t know if you’re going to school, if you’ve got a girlfriend, or if you’ve got career aspirations so it’s hard for me to tell you that it’s going to require some life changes without fully understanding your position in life. However I can tell you if you have even just ONE of those, you WILL have to make adjustments. A lot of elements go in to running a game server and they all take time. CCNGTA was a ton of work and a long time in the making.
You’re right when you say without the community it would have failed, but that community was there long before the game server was. CCN was first and foremost a website and then a game server. The fact that you’re not anticipating a big life change and you think having a community is the only key to success is a big red flag for me personally. My typical day running CCNGTA went like this:
I woke up early, immediately jumped on my computer to see what went on last night when I was sleeping. I’d jump in game to make sure everything was kosher and maybe give it a quick morning reboot to reset everything when the population was low around 50 people or so. I would then go to work and watch the server activity from there as best I can while replying to dozens threads as the population spiked with our European friends, subsided in the afternoon, and spiked again as people got off school.
When I walked in the door after work I had a laundry list of things I had to do immediately that I couldn’t take care of at work. Knocking all those out as much as I can I made myself available in game as the population was topping out. Doing general customer service, running events, and assisting my staff as best I can before logging off and firing up pawn, coding into the night until I passed out and started all over again. There was always some major drama, bug that needed to be fixed, PR/marketing to be done, or decisions that needed to be made.
CCNGTA was a daily emergency that hundreds of people pulled the fire alarm on. You know what the reaction to my full day of CCNGTA work was 7 days a week? I could never do enough. I didn’t go to school, get a raise at work, go to parties, or swim in donation cash. There are a lot of things I couldn’t have made CCNGTA successful without. My staff great, I could rely on the top guys when I needed to. Ivan’s code. Clint’s events. Beer’s experience. Duce’s advice. Din’s persistence. I had a damn near army of solid guys and we were still all over worked and making life changes. You won’t ever have a community without a vigilant staff to facilitate it because those are the people are the foundation and driving force.
When I say most server owners aren’t ready for the commitment it takes to run a server, what I’m really saying is they’re not ready to make the sacrifices they need to be dedicated to their community and project.
