Goodfellas 2.0

I’m not really all that certain where the renewed interest in the Goodfella’s 2.0 script has cropped up from, nevertheless it would appear I’ve got a lot of people asking me for it again. Maybe people are starting to get the GTA bug under their skin again and are looking for a place to play. I can’t say I’ve been active or interested at all with the current San Andreas Multiplayer scene so it’s hard to gauge what’s out there and what’s quality. If you’re interested in the GF2.0 script you can have it however I’ve got a couple things to say about it first. Read on for that information and the download link.

13 Survival Rules for FPS Beginners

I’ve been playing first person shooter games for a long time, most people don’t realize it’s probably my favorite type of game to play. Mostly because it’s fallen by the wayside and I’m most often interacting with people in RPG style multiplayer games. Now with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 topping my current play list I’ve decided to share some wisdom I’ve picked up from over ten years experience playing first person shooters. Rules that seem to transcend most games. Survival rules for beginners that will keep you topping the charts in battle.

Kill Me

I take a look down at my table and see the infamous colors of America. The ol’ Red, White, and Blue. I place my head close to the colors and press close my right nostril. With my left I glide it across the glass table, vacuuming anything and everything underneath it. One red line. One white line. One blue line. All founders of a new American home within my skull.

The soaring rush from the lines ran through me like a bolt of lightning. I lay back on the black, fake leather couch, stare at the ceiling, and let the Fraulein continue her own vacuum mission downtown. Shit, I can’t even remember what I just snorted. The white was definitely coke, the blue was crushed Adderall pills and I think the red could have been strawberry flavored cool-aid. Fuck, I don’t know and frankly, I don’t give a shit.

Right now the entire world is oblivious to me and vice-verse. My name is Budd Manlove and I could give two shits who you, your family, or this chick sucking my dick is. All I care about is getting another line through my nose and blitzing into tomorrow morning when I won’t remember what the hell I’m doing right now.

I look up and I can see out of my VIP room onto the area below me. The people on the dance floor are jumping up and down. Hands are in the air, smoke is blanketing the floor and ecstasy has been slipped onto many tongues in many mouths. The head in my lap bobs up and down while I feel the slip of a tongue caress… well you get it.

In just a few months nothing that I am doing right now will matter. My name will be erased, memories of me will be long gone, lives will continue and nowhere will my name be voiced. Why? Because I’m going to die, that’s why. I don’t have cancer, I don’t have AIDS, I don’t have anything that causes me to be terminally ill. I plan on killing myself. It’s something that I have been brewing in my head for a couple years now and it’s soon to be about the time that I go through with it.

A Rose from the Desert

Wow, it’s been quite some time since Mr. Manlove has shown his face around these parts hasn’t it? Well, for those of you that don’t know I’ve been playing in the over-sized sandbox on the other side of the world for the past couple of months. Things here are… strange to say the least. However, the lack of internet and communication with the “real” world has made my appearance on CCN less and less. I still don’t really have much time to write anything for you all but I can, at least, share with you something I’ve wrote for someone else. My ex - Jisook.

Jisook’s and my relationship had dwindled and withered over the past few months before I was mobilized to deploy. The reasons vary and are not something I really want to get into detail about. However, I felt that the failure of our relationship was a cause of mine and in a save all effort I decided to start repairing our relationship with a simple letter. Of course, it’s a love letter. So for those of you who are easily sickened by a beating heart, I suggest you stop reading before your lunch spews onto your shirts.

2012: It's coming!

So many of you may have seen the trailer for 2012. It looks action packed.

In my query of "Have you seen the adverts for 2012" to a friend of mine, he replied with the following youtube link. I felt it was worth sharing with you guys.

Enjoy!

Squids: So it starts

"Congratulations Recruit, you’re now a section leader" the Petty Officer said as he walked away. I stood up from the recruit I was helping fold his utilities shirt for our upcoming first inspection. "Thank you Petty Officer" I replied as I snapped to attention. A wave of pride came over me as the other recruit stood up. Looking at me he asked, "What exactly does that mean?" My pride quickly subsided as I came to terms with the fact that I had no idea.

Squids: The Gauntlet

We were a couple days into what’s called "p-days". Basically before you even really start training you need to get further processed and deemed fit to serve. You would imagine a lot of this would be screened out before you even got on the bus but I’ll be damned if they’re anything but thorough. During this stage you get issued some more items like your BCD’s, short for "Birth Control Devices" which are those huge thick rimmed indestructible glasses. You get all your hair sheered off in the fastest haircut you’ve ever gotten by someone who enjoys their job just a slight bit too much. You’ll also get an identification card with your photo, embarrassingly enough after the BCD’s and haircut. Today we’re lined up with our sleeves rolled to the shoulder, single file, in front of a hallway that takes a sharp right turn.

Construction Underway

It’s a rare occurrence that I ever really like something I produce longer than the moment immediately preceding its completion. It’s an aggravating mindset, believe me. My parents used to tell me when they’d watch me color I would spend a ton of time filling in one picture and doing it perfectly. If I colored outside of the lines, I’d crumple up the paper and start a new one. Right when I was done with a picture I’d discard it like it never even mattered. Sometimes I wonder if I’m simply addicted to the labor of creation or if I’m actually interested in the final product at all. I’ve struggled with this particular mindset my whole life and everyone tells me it’s not a bad thing, especially when it comes to making use of emerging technologies in web development.
